Mr Chaudry totally put me at ease. He lstened to my concerns about my Myleopothy and advised me on what will happen next. I would recommend him to anyone that is having problems with their spine and neuropathy symptoms.

Mr Chaudray is very easy to listen to, gives clear explanation and appears to care about the patient. He made an effort to thoroughly understand the problem and offer clear explanation and answered questions with patience. My only criticism is that I was kept waiting for 50 minutes after my given appointment time before I was seen. This caused me anxiety due to the possibility of the car park ticket expiring.

I was diagnosed with 'severe spinal stenosis in the cervical area with flattening of the cervical cord at C4/C5 and C5/C6'. I was extremely worried about having the operation on my lower spine and neck. Dr Chaudhary was open and honest with me regarding the procedure and all of the possible risks and implications. I weighed up the (small) risks against the risks I faced in not having the operation and I decided to go ahead with it. The operation lasted 8hrs in total as I had the neck and lower spine operations consecutively. After the operation, I was sore but the pain was manageable. My recovery time was quick and I was up walking within a few days. I purposefully made myself active post-op and this speeded up my recovery. My sciatica came back for a couple of weeks and after contacting the aftercare team, I was assured that this was temporary. After about four weeks, the sciatica had gone and to date hasn't returned. Walking is now much easier and I can now do things that previously were extremely difficult such as swimming and gym sessions. I am very grateful towards Dr Chaudhary and his team for their care and professionalism.

I don't normally bother doing reviews. But when you receive outstanding health care like I did from Mr Chaudhary, I wanted to make sure that others could benefit as well. Spent a lot of time explaining my condition and options with me. And also went on make sure I had no worries or issues going forward. And decided to keep me under review for a few extra months to be extra sure

16th March 2022

BACKGROUND: Three months' suffering with niggling to moderate pain in my left arm and scapula. Under the treatment of a good osteopath. Overnight on February 28th, 2022 catastrophe. Woken with extreme pain in the left shoulder and arm, which over the next 24 hours progressed to even more extreme pain in the left with more worryingly, pins and needles, numbness and ultimately near paralysis of the right arm and hand. DIAGNOSIS: A number of visits to GP and A&E resulted in some morphine after 36 hours and an MRI after 60 hours. Referred to the Spinal Clinic at The NOC on 2nd March, where Mr Sharma diagnosed a bad prolapsed disc at C7/T1. He advised surgery asap, and on Thursday I was informed a slot was booked for Friday morning 4th March. THE SURGERY: Met Mr B Roy Chaudhary, aka Roy, for the first time and was immediately impressed with his approach and manner. I have met a number of surgeons in my time, but Roy stands out in his relaxed yet authoritative manner. He immediately instills trust and reassurance in you. I understand that he had to fight hard to get me on the emergency list that morning, and I am grateful for his efforts, as I firmly believe that it was his personal evaluation of my condition that enabled me to have the surgical procedure that day. I woke up in recovery with no pain in my left arm, and albeit weak, good movement in my right hand and arm. I saw Roy shortly after and he was very pleased with both the procedure and progress. RECOVERY: I had 4 days in The John Radcliffe Hospital where the care was superb, and Roy visited me every day I was there and, was very encouraging about the progress I was making. I now face several months of hard physio to fully recover the strength and movement in my right arm. I actually played the piano 7 days post-op, and it wasn't that bad!! ROY: I have a 2 inch scar at the base of my throat, which is remarkably almost invisible, through which this genius somehow sorted my dysfunctional spine into a condition where I have the prospect of a fully normal life. So, I owe this expert everything. There is absolutely nothing I can say or suggest about improving the way Roy works and operates. I am no expert, but I can assure you, that in my view, and what I have subsequently read about him, he is the best surgeon in his field in this country, and quite possibly, the world. He is the best of humanity.
